Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you to Paul for all the hard work, time and dedication he has given to the club during his time as our Rally Secretary.

Paul has recently decided to step down from the role, and on behalf of the committee and all our members, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for everything he has done over the past year. Organising rallies and helping to ensure our events run smoothly takes a great deal of time and commitment, and we are extremely grateful for all his efforts. We wish Paul all the very best and hope he continues to enjoy many rallies with us as a valued member of the 4C’s.

With Paul stepping down, we are now looking to appoint a new Rally Secretary.

The Rally Secretary plays a key role within the club. The responsibilities include:

• Booking rallies and liaising with venue owners and organisers.
• Producing, compiling and publishing the club’s Rally Book each year.
• Calculating rally fees and costs.
• Preparing the Marshals’ packs and ensuring they, together with any equipment required for the rally, are provided to the Marshals before each event.
• Arranging Marshals for all rallies.
• Contacting venues and the appropriate people before each rally to confirm that everything is still in place and that there have been no changes.
• Providing the Social Secretary and the Marshals with all the relevant information for each rally, including directions, the full address, postcode and What3Words location.

Our club relies entirely on volunteers, and every committee role plays an important part in keeping the 4C’s thriving. If you’ve ever thought about getting more involved, we’d love to hear from you.
