Can I just say what a fantastic weekend we had at our fundraiser at Stapleford Miniature Railway!

The committee and members worked their socks off all weekend, and I would personally like to thank each and every one of you who attended. Your hard work, friendship, enthusiasm and willingness to help made the weekend what it was.

It was great to see everyone getting the opportunity to step away from the stall at times and explore the new venue, enjoy the atmosphere and spend time together.

Whilst it was a shame that the train wasn’t running and that a number of vendors were unable to attend, the members of the FSMR Club made us feel incredibly welcome and the local community were so friendly and supportive throughout the event.

Although the footfall appeared lower than in previous years, possibly due to the train not running, I am confident that we have still done very well. The final amount raised will be announced once all monies have been received and counted, but every single person who attended and supported the event has helped make a real difference.

The entertainment in the beer tent was excellent, and it was wonderful to see some of our members up dancing alongside the other vendors and FSMR members. A special mention must also go to the legendary tower of beer glasses – that was truly impressive! Although at the rate it was growing, you never know, next time it might just reach the top of the marquee! He He

Thank you all once again for helping to make the weekend such a success. The 4C’s Club is all about friendship, fun and supporting great causes, and this weekend showcased exactly that.

Well done everyone – you should all be very proud. 😊🍻🚂💙🍰🩷 🎪 🎠
